Drink Driver and Drug Driver Behaviour Change Program

The Drink and Drug Driver Behaviour Change Program is a program approved by VicRoads under the Road Safety Act 1986.  Grampians Community Health is one of a number of providers approved by VicRoads to deliver Drink and Drug Behaviour Change Programs.

Please note GCH are not currently running any Intensive Drink Drug Drive Courses.

DDDBC Standard and Intensive programs are offered to those who have lost their licence due to a drink driving or drug driving offence and are seeking to get their licence back. A letter received from VicRoads will have information on which program you should enrol in.

The Standard Program is a six-hour course delivered over two days (2x 3 hour sessions) on consecutive weeks.

The Intensive program is a nine hour course delivered over three days (3x 3 hour sessions) and one one-on-one counselling session

The qualified course facilitator supports participants to:

• identify and discuss the motivating factors that led them to drink and/or drug drive
• explore the motivation for changing their behaviour and develop an action plan to help them not reoffend in the future
• identify the difference between standard and intensive drinking

Evidence of course completion is provided.

Other assessments relating to drink and drug driver offences for court purposes are available.
