Carers can be of any age and give support to a relative or friend who has a disability, mental health problem, medical condition or is frail due to age.
Support for Carers helps care for you while you care for someone by providing you with a break so you can rest and recharge. The service can plan support that best suits your needs and the one you care for and could include:

The service is available to carers who live in Ararat Rural City, Northern Grampians and Pyrenees shires. The person they care for may live outside these local government areas.
The Case Manager is available Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

The service is available to anyone caring for a relative or friend. You are not considered a carer if you are employed to care for someone. This does not include a Carer Allowance or Carer Pension.
