GCH Celebrates 40 Years Of Serving Our Communities In 2025
In 1985, in the old nurses quarters in Wimmera Street in Stawell and under the fantastic leadership of Jill Miller, Grampians Community Health (Or as we used to be known Grampians Community Health Centre) was born. Since then we have grown to open sites in Ararat in 1994 and Horsham in 2001 and our main site in Stawell in Patrick Street in 2010.
From those humble beginings, GCH has grown into an organisation that employees hundreds of people across the Grampians and Wimmera, provides services into 10 different local government areas across the west/north west of our state and have assisted countless numbers of people in our communities via our various services we have provided and continue to provide over the 40 year journey of GCH.
Whether it’s mental health services, aged care services, NDIS supports, alcohol & other drug supports, family violence supports, behaviour change programs, homelessness supports, newer programs such as the diabetes connect program, or any of the many other services we provide, GCH have been here for you, your family and our communities for over four decades.
So here’s to 40 years of helping our communities and we look forward to being part of the Grampians and Wimmera for many more to come.
